Young Pianists Of Turkey Mark Gümüşlük Festival

– Within the 12th International Gümüşlük Classic Music Festival in Muğla's Bodrum district, the Gümüşlük Festival Academy hosted seven young talents as part of piano master classes, having been held between July 16 and August 4. The seven talents were certificated by the masterclass' tutor, worldwide.

The seven talents were certificated by the masterclass' tutor, worldwide renowned pianist Gülsin Onay.

The young pianists performed pieces of great masters including Chopin, Bach, Bartok, Scarlatti, under the tutelage of pianists Gülsin Onay, Martin Roscoe, Anika Vavic and Vyacheslav Gryaznov. The concert began with the youngest talent Zeynep Yargı's performance of J.S. Bach's "Prelude - Füg BWV 846 C Major" piece, followed by Julia Tavit from Mimar Sinan University performing "Ostinato" of Bela Bartok, and Mahmut Önal from Mersin University performing Domenico Scarlatti's "Sonata L 23 - K 380 E major".

The concert continued with Bilkent University student Tuna Bilgin's recital of Claude Debussy, "Claire de Luna" while Yener Gökbudak from Moscow Tchaikovsky University interpreted F. Chopin's "Ballade 4 Op. 52 F minor". The concert ended with performance of young pianist Ufuk Mete Şahin, interpreting Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Etude - Tableaux Op. 38 No. 15E Minor"

Gümüşlük Festival Academy has trained around 500 young talents from Turkey and overseas within its summer music school, since 2006.
