Michael Gambon Kimdir ?

Sir Michael John Gambon, 19 Ekim 1940 yılında doğdu. Gombon, 28 Eylül 2023 yılında İrlanda - İngiltere'de vefat etti. İrlanda doğumlu sinema ve tiyatro oyuncusu. Michael Gambon ilk önce bir mühendis olarak çalışmaya başladı. 21 yaşındayken kesinlikle bir aktör olmak istediğine karar verdi. Oyunculuk kariyerine 1963'te Dublin'deki Edwards/MacLiammoir Gate Tiyatrosu'nda başladı. Old Vic'teki Ulusal Tiyatro'nun ilk üyelerindendi. Lawrence Olivier'nin yönettiği bu tiyatroda pek çok oyunda rol aldıktan sonra, Othello'yu oynadığı Birmingham Rep'e geçti. O günden bu güne geçen 40 yıl içinde, Gambon, döneminin en iyi tiyatrocularından biri olarak ün yaptı. Aktör, Alan Ayckbourn'un yönettiği "A Chorus of Disapproval"daki rolüyle Olivier Ödülü, "The Life of Galileo" ve "Volpone"la da En iyi Erkek Oyuncu dalında 1995 Evening Standard Ödülü kazandı.
